Calling all Class of 2027 parents and guardians! While graduation may feel far away, planning is already underway to give our seniors a fun, memorable, and safe celebration on graduation night, expected for June 8, 2027.
The Senior Grad Party is a cherished tradition, but it is not a school-sponsored event—it relies entirely on the energy, fundraising, and creativity of senior parents to make it happen. We currently have enthusiastic volunteers ready to help, but we are looking for a Party Chair (or Co-Chairs) to take the lead and steer the planning committee.
Stepping up to lead ensures our graduates get the send-off they deserve! If you are interested in heading up the committee or learning more about what the role entails, please contact Jodie Hoberg at jnhoberg@gmail.com. Let’s work together to make the Class of 2027's celebration unforgettable!

Heads up, Lancers! Your student schedules are now live, and you can view them in StudentVue (or ParentVue for guardians).
As our counselors work on final adjustments, please be aware that schedules may continue to change through the first week of school. Be sure to check your schedule regularly for any changes, especially before classes officially start on Wednesday.
If your schedule needs to be corrected, please check that your request falls under one of the following reasons:
- You don't have the classes you need to graduate.
- You have an open period and need a full schedule.
- You have a duplicate or a missing class.
If your request meets these criteria, you can submit a request using the form below. Students must be logged into their 4J Google account to access the form.
Please submit the form only once. Counselors will do their best to make the appropriate changes, but all corrections are limited by the master schedule. We will respond to your requests via your 4J school email.
While your request is being processed, please continue to attend the classes you currently have in your schedule. It is your responsibility to check StudentVUE and your 4J email for updates. This form will close on Friday, September 18, at 4:00 p.m.

CHS Thespians are excited to announce auditions for our fall play, She Kills Monsters! Auditions will take place on Tuesday, September 15th at 4 pm in the CHS Auditorium.
Please prepare a memorized 60-second monologue that can be either dramatic or comedic. We are looking for you to show us your physicality!
Any and all CHS students, from card-carrying Thespians to freshmen just starting life at Churchill, are welcome and encouraged to audition!

School picture days are scheduled for Tuesday, September 15 and Wednesday, September 16.
Students will take their pictures during their Language Arts class. On their designated picture day, students should first report to their Language Arts classroom for attendance. Their teacher will then escort them to the photo station.
Tuesday, September 15 is an A Day. If your student's Language Arts class is scheduled on an A Day (periods 1-4), they will have their photo taken on this day.
Wednesday, September 16 is a B Day. If your student's Language Arts class is scheduled on a B Day (periods 5-8), they will have their photo taken on this day.
We can't wait to see those smiling faces!
Families can order photo packages online today by visiting mylifetouch.com and entering your Picture Day ID: EVTQ4XZXG. Or, pick up a paper order form in the school office. Don't forget to place your order early to capture this year's memories!

With school approaching, it's a perfect time for parents to have a plan for student nutrition for the year. 4J Nutrition Services is ready to help, from sharing menus and supporting special dietary needs, to providing the pathway to setting up meal accounts.
This year will see some changes to school meals in 4J, which are similar to how all the neighboring school districts operate: each student will continue to receive one breakfast and one lunch each school day at no cost. Additional items, such as seconds, extra milks, or single milks for home lunch will be charged to the student's meal account. Families will have multiple resources available to help them understand the process, set up accounts, and manage payments with confidence. Budget constraints leave the district unable to continue a practice of allowing unlimited free additional meals. Student health and well-being is important for their success in school, and district staff will work with families to make sure every option and resource is explored for all health, nutrition and overall well-being concerns. As a new school year begins, consider talking with your teen about different ways to get to school. Walking, biking, scooting, skating, busing and carpooling can all be great options - and giving teens opportunities to travel independently helps them build confidence and important life skills.
If your teen is trying a new way to get to school, help them test the route ahead of time. Pro tip: the best walking or biking route isn’t always the same route you’d drive!

Registration is now open for Fall 3v3 Basketball, offering weekly skill development and dynamic games for 3rd through 8th grade boys and girls from September 23rd to October 28th. It is a fantastic, low-pressure environment for players of all skill levels to gain extra touches and build basketball IQ before the winter season.
Fall FitKids registration is officially open, offering fun, dynamic movement classes and sports programs for children ages 18 months through 8th grade. Options include Friday motor-skill classes, Saturday intro programs for soccer and football, and an inclusive "Soccer For All" program designed for kids of all abilities.
