Posted Date: 01/04/26 (04:00 PM)

An Instagram graphic titled "CHS Phone Policy" announcing new "off and away" rules starting January 1. It highlights that devices must be silenced and stored bell-to-bell, including during lunch and between classes. The bottom section invites parents to a Q&A session on January 8 at 6:30 PM with the tagline "Be present. Stay present."

Churchill Families,

In response to the recent state-wide mandate regarding cell phone use in schools, the 4J school district has developed a new policy designed to minimize distractions and support student mental health. We recognize that this is a significant shift for our students and families, and we are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible.

We invite you to join us for an evening information session to discuss the "why" behind these changes and how they will be implemented here at Churchill.

  • Date: Thursday, January 8

  • Time: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

  • Location: Churchill High School Auditorium

What we will cover:

  • Overview of the Governor’s mandate and district guidelines.

  • How students can stay in touch with families during the school day.

  • The benefits of a "phone-free" instructional environment.

  • A dedicated Q&A session to address your questions and concerns.

Our goal is to partner with you to help our students stay focused on their education and each other. We look forward to seeing you there and hearing your thoughts.

Best regards,

Kevin Rodemack,

Principal
