Last Day to Withdraw from a Class without Penalty: March 5
Due to the school closure on February 13 and the holiday on February 17, the last day to drop a class without penalty is now March 5.

Starting on March 6, students who wish to drop a course must complete the yellow drop form, which requires signatures from the student, parent, teacher, counselor, and administrator. Students will receive a WD (Withdrawn Passing) or WF (Withdrawn Failing) grade on their transcript.

Students who are passing the course at the time of their withdrawal will receive a WD, while students who are failing will receive a WF.
Churchill Gear Store
Spring sports season is approaching, and we have t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats available to show off your school spirit! Stop by the front office to get your gear today. We accept cash, card, or check.

- T-shirts: $10
- Sweatshirts: $25
- Hats: $15

Come check them out!

The Churchill Gear Store was established by a Churchill parent who wanted to make affordable Churchill apparel available to all students. Thanks to their generous one-time donation, we have been able to keep prices low with minimal markup. The gear store is now thriving and self-sustaining, providing a great opportunity for students and the Churchill community to show their school spirit!
Home Safety Opportunity: Restricting Lethal Means
Pick up a FREE lockbox for your handgun, rifle, and/or medication at the Churchill front office or talk to your student's counselor.

Suicide is a leading cause of death among young people in Oregon and has recently increased in Lane County. The district is working with public health and other partners to provide families with information and resources for suicide prevention.

There are steps you can take to help keep your family members safe if they experience an emotional crisis or think about suicide. One important measure is to reduce easy access to things that could be dangerous to them: “lethal means.” Lethal means include firearms, prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, sharp objects, belts, cords, and cables.

Reducing access to lethal means saves lives. Most people who live through a suicide attempt do not later die by suicide. Suicide attempts using firearms are very likely to be fatal.

Firearms, medications, and other lethal means can be restricted by removing them or locking them in secure storage. It is essential that youths cannot know the combination or be able to get the key. Lockboxes are being offered to 4J families at no charge.

Dear Churchill Community,

We are considering permanently naming the Churchill gym court in honor of the late boys' basketball coach, John Roche, to recognize his contributions to our athletic program and community. Coach Roche dedicated a lifetime to shaping the lives of students at Churchill, both on and off the court. Coach Roche's accomplishments include:
  • 299-88 record with the Lancers from 1988-2002 & 2005
  • 5 Midwestern League Titles
  • 11 trips to the State Tournament
  • 10 State Trophies
  • 2 State Championships (1995 & 2001)
  • 3X Oregon Coach of the Year

Your input is important to us! Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts.
