Clubs

Today: Thespian Club meets at lunch in H8; The Divergence and Disability Alliance meets at lunch in F37; APISU meets at lunch in F55; NASU is meeting for a “bonus” meeting in h32 during lunch. 

Tomorrow: FSU meets in the auditorium at lunch; WISE meets at lunch in the STEM conference room.

CHS Fall Play

Tonight is opening night for CHS Thespians’ fall play, William Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”! Set on a space station somewhere in the future, come and be thrilled by this classic tale of magic, love, revenge, and the willingness to forgive. Tickets are $10 for adults and only $7 for students. Curtains are at 7:00 with additional performances on November 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11. You can purchase your tickets from any CHS Thespian, using the QR Code found on our posters, or t at the doors. 

Volunteer Opportunity

UPSTART CROW YOUTH THEATER NEEDS VOLUNTEERS FOR THEIR PERFORMANCE OF MATILDA, JR.  They are looking for student volunteers to help with set crew, ushering, loading up props and costumes, etc. Theatre experience is not required. Shows are at the Ragozzino Performance Hall at Lane Community College on November 10, 11, & 12. If you are interested in volunteering please respond by November 3rd to stagemanager@updstartcrowstudios.org or call 541–688-8260.

Girls’ Basketball

Anyone interested in playing girls’ basketball this season, there are preseason practices next week on Monday and Tuesday at 6:30, and Thursday at 4:00 in the gym.

Student ID Cards

If you had your picture taken during picture retake day, please visit Jane in the front office during your free time to pick up your student ID. 

Incompletes

This is a final reminder for any students with T2 and T3 Incompletes from last year. The deadline to submit all needed work is November 9th at 4 pm, no late work will be accepted after that date and any outstanding Incomplete will be changed to a final grade of an F which cannot be changed. All students with Incompletes were informed via their school emails on September 22nd, please check your student email to see if you were sent a message.

Fall Sport PE Credit

 If you played and completed a whole season of a CHS Fall sport this year, make an appointment with your counselor to complete a form for .25 PE credit. All student-athletes are eligible to earn up to .5 PE credit for competing in a CHS sport this year. To learn more and confirm that you qualify for this special credit, reach out to your counselor ASAP. All forms must be completed and submitted to the registrar no later than 2 weeks after your season has ended.

College & Military Visits

Tomorrow: Oregon Air National Guard meets at lunch in F36.

Sports

Saturday: Boys Varsity Cross Country OSAA State Championships at Lane Community College at 2:20.
